  Joined: Fri Dec 05 2008, 06:11AM Posts: 7 | Hello! I'm in the market for a concealed carry gun. I would like to find a light weight, compact 9mm. I considered the Ruger LCP, but decided on something in 9mm because of ammo availability. I like the looks of the Taurus 709 Slim, but I haven't heard much about it. I know it is brand new and just now hitting the market. I have had good luck with Taurus firearms in the past, but I'm open to any suggestions from fellow members. So if anyone out there has any ideas/suggestions/experiences to share, I would greatly appreciate your feedback! Thanks Mark Abell | ||

  Joined: Mon Dec 10 2007, 02:05PM Posts: 45 | Im a big fan of semi auto's particularly Glocks. If you have the caliber selection that you want, next is how hard do you want to work at concealing it? Compact pistols are easier to conceal but offer a smaller round count. While a fuller size is harder to conceal but offers more rounds. Next is carry options, outside the waistband, inside? appendix carry, small of the back? all have pros and cons. I recommend getting with some one that has a few of the pistols that you are thinking about and shoot them to see what fits you. hope that helps! Keith | ||

Some range stores will apply the rental fee if you purchise the gun from them. Get what is comfortable for you. Glock is a good gun but may not be right for you. When you get it practice, practice, practice. When seconds count the police are only minutes away!!!!!! | ||
